Northland Trip

Visit Shipwrecks Bay in beautiful Northland. Our instructors let you explore this rugged landscape on Quad Bikes or Horse - you choose. Shipwrecks Bay offers exceptional surf so for those interested in gaining surfing instruction a visit to Shipwrecks Bay can be organised.

  • Leave 8.30am from school
  • Lunch at Hundert Vasser Toiletten (world famous toilets!)
  • Drive through scenic Mangamuka Ranges (mountain ranges)
  • Ahipara - Surfing Shipwrecks Bay
  • Coastal drive to Top 10 Holiday Park
  • BIG BBQ! mmmmm
  • Day 2
  • Breakfast 8.30
  • Cape Reinga = most Northern point of New Zealand (departing place for moari spirits)
  • See where the Tasman meets the Pacific
  • Giant Sand Dunes of Northland
  • Day 3
  • Beach Games on the beach (touch Rugby, Volleyball)
  • Cross over on Rawene Ferry over Hokianga harbour - spectacular!
  • Jump off the Wharf at Omapere
  • Waipora Forest - see the giant Kauri tree
  • HEAD FOR HOME!

Activities

  • 3 Hours Horseriding on dunes & coastal Beaches
  • 3 hours Quad Biking (4x4) over dunes and coasts
  • Sandboarding giant Dunes!
